New York Fashion Week 2017

I attended New York Fashion Week!

Backstory: In February of this year, I networked with a lady by the name of Shannon (Shannon Davidson Productions) at the Dennis Basso fashion show at The Breakers of Palm Beach.

Present day: Shannon offered me an internship position for the Dennis Basso Spring 2018 show in New York City.

Little ole' me was off to the Big Apple by herself!

Friday 9.8.17 : Arrived at the fabulous, one-of-a-kind Dennis Basso studio and helped with model castings which consisted of putting models in different pieces from the collection.

Saturday 9.9.17 : Continued model castings and finalized styling of the garments. On casting days 5'10" me didn't feel so tall next to the models! (The night ended with NY pizza, you were dying to know.)

Sunday 9.10.17 : Finalized components of the production aspect. This day consisted of sorting photos of the models and their outfits, making alterations to the garments, and arranging the beautiful garments in sections for the next day.

Monday 9.11.17 : Show day! NYFW reality: arriving at The Plaza Hotel by 6 am. Once the show began, I helped arrange the models in order, check their garments, and assist the 'dressers' for the models.

The gorgeous collection consisted of chiffon, intricate beading, detailed embroidery, and fur.

I am SO grateful to have been a part of New York Fashion Week 2017 and assist yet another Dennis Basso show. Hope to see you soon NYC! Muah!
