About Me

 Hi!

My name is Lauren Thomas; I am a Fashion Business student at The Fashion Institute of Technology (if you read my site before you would have read that I was hoping to go to FIT, it happened!). Before graduating high school in 2017, I was in a Fashion Design and Technology program where I designed and sewed garments. Back in 2016. I had the opportunity to attend a pattern making class at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in San Diego, California. While in high school, I gained experience by volunteering two years in a row at the Melanoma Foundation's annual fashion shows held at The Breakers of Palm Beach, Florida for designers Nicolas Felizola and Dennis Basso. In the beginning of 2017, I was an intern for New York Fashion Week; specifically for designer Dennis Basso. Since being out of high school, I have furthered my experience by being a production assistant for a Giorgio Armani fashion show, head of production for Ft. Lauderdale Fashion Week, and volunteer for Rubin Singer and Delray Fashion Week. Since moving to The Big Apple, I have been a part of various Fashion Week shows; Sylvian Hyde, Helen Anthony, Style360, Style Fashion Week, Indonesian Diversity, and Bridal Fashion Week. Concluding 2018, I had the opportunity to walk for the FIT annual fashion show, ‘Twisted' and 'Artistry'.
